Discover is Joip’s community hub where users share sessions and media for others to browse, play, save, and like. It features infinite-scroll browsing, a universal search bar with tag/creator/character filtering, and sorting by hot, new, or top.

Browsing the Feed

When you open Discover, you land on a feed of community-shared content displayed as a card grid. The feed loads 24 items at a time with infinite scroll — just keep scrolling and new content loads automatically as you approach the bottom of the page. Each card shows:
  • A thumbnail preview
  • The title (sessions) or filename (media)
  • The creator’s name
  • Subreddit badges (for Reddit-based sessions) or a “Custom” badge (for manual sessions)
  • Tags applied to the content
  • A like count with a heart icon
Click a session card to open a preview modal with full details before committing to play or save it.

Sorting Options

The search bar includes a sort selector with three modes:
SortBehavior
HotEngagement-weighted recency — balances likes with how recently content was posted. Newer content with decent engagement ranks higher.
NewMost recently shared first.
TopHighest like count first.
Hot is the default sort and generally surfaces the best content at any given time.

Searching and Filtering

Discover includes a universal search bar that supports multiple filter types simultaneously.
Click any tag chip on a card to add it as a filter. You can combine multiple tags. Tag filtering supports two modes:
  • OR mode — shows content matching any of the selected tags
  • AND mode — shows only content matching all selected tags
Clear individual tag chips or use the “Clear tag filters” button to reset.
Click a creator name on any card to filter the feed to only that creator’s content. Admin users always display as “Joip”.
For media items that have a character name assigned, click the character badge (shown in purple) to filter by that character.
Use the search bar to filter sessions by their source subreddit.
All active filters appear as chips that you can remove individually.

Liking Content

Click the heart icon on any card to like or unlike it. The like count updates immediately. Liking helps surface good content in the Hot sort and lets creators know their work is appreciated.

Playing Shared Sessions

1

Find a session

Browse the feed or use search/filters to find a session that interests you.
2

Preview the session

Click the session card to open a preview modal showing the session’s details, thumbnail, and media.
3

Play or save

  • Click Play to immediately start the session player. This creates a copy of the session in your personal library.
  • Click Save to copy the session to your library without playing it, so you can edit or play it later.
Playing or saving a community session consumes credits, as it creates a full copy in your session library. If you don’t have enough credits, you’ll see a prompt to purchase more.

Saving Media to Your Vault

For individual media items (captioned images, BabeCocks, HypnoCocks, BetaCensor creations), click the Save button on the card. The image is saved directly to your Media Vault where you can access it anytime.

Content Types

The feed can include several types of community content:

Sessions

Full slideshow sessions with multiple images and AI-generated or custom captions. These can be played back as interactive slideshows.

Smart Captions

Individual images with AI-generated captions. Displayed with a gold “Smart Captions” badge.

BabeCocks

Composite images created in BabeCock Studio. Displayed with an amber “BabeCocks” badge.

HypnoCocks

HypnoCock creations. Displayed with a cyan “HypnoCocks” badge.

Deep Linking

You can link directly to a specific community session preview by appending ?session=<id> to the Discover URL. This automatically opens the preview modal for that session when the page loads.

Tips for Finding Great Content

1

Start with Hot sort

The Hot algorithm surfaces recently posted content with strong engagement, making it the best starting point.
2

Explore tags

Click tags that match your interests to narrow results. Tags are the most effective way to find themed content.
3

Follow creators

When you find content you like, click the creator’s name to see everything they’ve shared.
4

Check back often

New content is posted regularly. Switch to “New” sort to see the latest additions.
